Astrology: August 27 to September 25, 2022

During the month of September, we will experience 6 planets in retrograde. Only Venus and Mars are moving forward. This puts a very different spin on the astrology for this cycle.

I’m going to list the Ingresses and Retrograde planets, and then I’m going to go through the month chronologically and discuss the major planetary actions.

PLANETARY ASPECTS August 27 to Sept. 3

New Moon 4° Virgo 03’ @ 4:16 a.m. EDT

This New Moon is accompanied by a Square to Mars, but Mars is effecting a Trine to Mercury. Sun (and MOON) squaring Mars signifies a period of great change and high energy. IOW, you will probably not forget this New Moon. ! Things happening now may cause you to take actions that you otherwise would not but that may be very good for your personal Growth. (Look to see where you have 4° of any of the Earth Signs, because that’s where you’re going to get the impulse for change.)

Also, Mercury enters Libra on the same day so that planet is also in a “New” phase. So, lots’ of New Ness going on but also a lot of stress and a bit of anxiety which may have you looking over your shoulder for the whole 2 ½ days. Once the Moon moves into Libra things calm down and you can get some sleep along with all those Retrograde planets.

Venus opposing Saturn will leave us all feeling dissatisfied. In fact the whole Saturn vibe is a downer right now. He will suppress lots of things like affection and social urges. Don’t be surprised if Mask Mandates come back under this influence. It would be so like Saturn to do that to us. In business and at work you may feel criticized and unsatisfied and put out because they still expect you to work twice as hard as usual (are they ever going to hire a replacement for Jim? He left 3 months ago.) This aspect will coincide with most of the New Moon phase, so just hold your breath for 48 hours and then things should feel better.

Mars will be shooting you out of the starting gate on a new Project, you may not be able to actually deliver due to Mercury opposing Jupiter. You will start, brain storm, plan, design, etc. on this plan, but it won’t actually start to get off the ground until Next Week. No worries, though, it will feel so good to be out from under that crazy Saturn influence, you will still feel like you are accomplishing great things.

Mercury opposition Jupiter on Sept. 2nd may mean you will have big ideas, but you may also overestimate your abilities or underestimate the situation you’re in! Avoid jumping into something without planning ahead, as important details are very easy to overlook right now.

September 4 to 10th

Sep 5 Venus enters Virgo

Venus is in Virgo from September 5 – September 29, 2022

The energy of Venus in Virgo means we show our love through service. Virgoan type activities such as organizing, list making, Bookkeeping, handiwork, Crafts etc. take focus as well as our desire to do things or to be of service to others. There will be a lot of attention paid to detail work and doing things for our partners. In Virgo, love needs to make sense and have a purpose (as with all the Earth Signs).

Venus in Virgo is practical and mental, an unusual combination. Things that we purchase now (Venus/money) will also need to be practical and serve a purpose. Otherwise, we may forgo that purchase. Venus in Virgo will hold back on purchases that it deems too self-indulgent. Rather than Treating oneself for a job well-done, you may find instead that you are giving to others. Conversely, you may find that you are overly-critical of your partner or may become picky, nervous or worried in the month of September.

One way to put this Venus Virgo energy to good work, is to focus on health. Things that are good for you, especially things you can do for yourself or others are favored now. Enjoy walking with your partner, doing yoga, or switching up your diet and cooking healthy meals, all these activities would be really helpful right now. And you will enjoy it more now because of Venus. Also, businesses pertaining to these types of activities, or which produce products for these types of activities will do well now.

Sep 8 Sun sextile Lilith. Su 15° Virgo, Lilith 16° Cancer

The Sun illuminates whatever it touches. Lilith often connotes an area of shame or something we do not want seen by others. Having the Sun shine on this type of things will be uncomfortable to say the least. However, the Sun is also healing. So there is a chance that shortly after this transit, we will be able to heal, cure or get over whatever Lilith represents. It is then that you will see that bringing the issue out into the light was a part of healing it.

Sep 9 Mercury Retrograde in Libra 8° 51’

See my videos about Mercury Retrograde to get a feel for what this will be like. Mercury in Libra is not so bad, but don’t trust anything you hear people say right now. They are either lying or at the very least, exaggerating a lot.

Sept. 10 – Full Moon in Pisces (Sep 10 Full Moon 17° Pisces 41’ @ 5:59 a.m. EDT)

If any full moon will bring tears, it's the Pisces full moon. Pisces is an extremely intuitive and creative water sign. However, they are prone to sadness because of their creative and artistic temperament, which full moons can bring out in all of us. So, because you may feel extra emotional, use this moon to indulge in self-soothing activities, such as getting a massage, or enjoying a long hot bath or shower. Pay attention to your dreams this night, as Pisces energy brings out the psychic in us all.

The key to balance lies in identifying and expressing your spiritual needs while maintaining order in your everyday life. Neglecting either will backfire–you would either be living in chaos or as if you are in the military.

This Full Moon harmonizes with Uranus, suggesting an easier, more natural acceptance of change and progress now.

Full Moon in Pisces: Additional Points

This Full Moon will affect people most who are born with personal planets and points at approximately 15 to 21 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) and 0 to 2 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) most significantly.

Sun trining Uranus will help with that project that you started in the first week really get off the ground. All of a sudden you are inspired and everyone around you will be rooting for you. You will have a chance to lift someone up during this project which helps you to also look like a winner.

• Sep 16 Sun Opp Neptune, Venus Square Mars

Sun 23° Virgo, Nep 24° Pisces,

Venus 13° Virgo Mars 14° Gemini

On the 16th you will have the Sun opposing Neptune and Venus squaring Mars. Not very hopeful, either one of them. Fortunately, Neptune is retrograde and therefore sleepy, but Mars isn’t. You may feel vulnerable right now and so you should be careful of your judgement. Things may seem all bright and shiny but you are susceptible to snake oil salesmen now, so always ask a friend before plunking down your hard earned cash or any other valuable. It’s going to feel you are underwater for a bit. The Venus/Mars transit will spark up your lovey-dovey feelings for someone or perhaps multiple someone’s, but you must hold back. This is a false flag. If you act on these impulses now you will feel very foolish later and may even do something really dumb, so please just act your age.

Mars 14° Gemini, Chiron 15° Aries R

This aspect encourages you to be dispassionate and rational about something that hurts you, an emotional or even physical wound. Advocating for yourself can be healing, as long as you keep your cool. This is not the time for angry or flamboyant efforts - step back to gain perspective. The issue won’t be as painful as you thought if you’re not afraid to act independently.

September 18 - 24

Sep 18 Sun 25° virgo trine Pluto 26° cap

So the higher ups really love you right now. And you seem to be able to open doors with your mind. These might be metaphysical doors or physical doors. You feel very powerful right now.

If this transit touches off any other planets in your chart, it will lend power to it along with an obsessive need to use that power to transform anything you see. Maybe everything you see, but don't try that, it's not necessary. Also, be sure that under this influence you don't try to take advantage or manipulate people, that would be really bad Karma and also a really bad thing to do to your friends or boss. Just keep it chill, do fantastic work, Wow them with your intense abilities and enjoy the ride. It won't last forever.

Sep 18 Mercury Opp Jupiter

You may think you can do everything you put your mind to, but be careful now not to over promise because that will almost guarantee that you will under deliver. Coupled with the Sun Trine Pluto you will have awesome abilities now or at least the ability to convince people around you that you are awesome, and when the smoke clears you don't want to be standing there holding a clip board and looking like a chump. This energy is meant for you, individually to feel good about what you are doing and who you are. Don't let it get your mouth moving. You will regret it. Just give yourself a little pep talk and avoid bragging about what you can or will do. It’s much better to spend the energy this way, rather than look foolish.

Sep 19 Venus sextile Lilith.

Venus 17° Virgo, Lilith 17° Cancer

Venus is our pleasure center. It's what we do for fun and enjoyment. It is also equated to our Sensuality and sexuality along with romance. In short, it's what we love in every sense of that word. Lilith connotes an area of shame or something we do not want seen by others. So when Venus give positive energy to Lilith we are given permission to allow someone to know this very private side of ourselves. Also, encourages us to enjoy and indulge in that which we do not usually indulge in, because we may be embarrassed or ashamed of it. Venus may give us the chance to forego judgement on this trait and bring it into the light where it's not quite as bad as once thought.

Sep 20 Venus trine Uranus

Venus 18° Virgo, Ur 18° Taurus R

Uranus coupled with Venus will whet your appetite for something new and different. This could apply to shoes, cuisine, vacations or people. So, be careful if you are yearning for a new relationship because the new one may end up being short. Rather, take a look at some other things in your life where it will be worth experimenting. Like a new restaurant, or a new pair of shoes. Even a different vacation destination. You'll be much happier in the long run and you will still satisfy that urge to change things up.

Sep 22 Sun enters Libra

Sun is in Libra from September 22-October 23, 2022.

It’s true that Libra’s love Love, but I know plenty of Libra’s who are single. Libra’s learn for themselves that relationships teach you about yourself, they are mirrors to ourselves. So in order to have a good relationship, each party needs to learn the art of compromise. I know plenty of Libra’s who have decided that for the moment, they just want to love themselves, but when they are ready to once again embrace compromise, they will be up for the challenge.

The Sun in Libra means that it is time to restore (or at least attempt to restore) balance in all things. Decision making can be excruciatingly difficult now because you will weigh the pros and cons a million times and still feel like you need to weigh them once more. Libra’s do love harmony and at times will go out of their way and around the block to avoid difficulty or confrontation. Libra strives to epitomize tact, style, tolerance, and social mores at all times Unless they are participating in a raucous debate about their favorite topic.

At times during the Libra Sun you may find yourself indecisive, passive aggressive, superficial or just plain selfish. You will go for the Surface harmony but trust me, if you only go for the gloss, you won’t be happy in the long run.

Sun in Libra is a very social time for most people, it’s that time of year when, as children, we all went back to school and reunited with our friends. I feel there is still a bit of that energy in us as adults making Libra season a sweet time each year when we enjoy social connections and believe that we can live in society in peace and harmony.

Mediation, counseling, public relations, partnerships, and the law are all in the spotlight, and with the Sun in Libra, you can usually find common ground.

Sep 23 Sun conjunct Mercury

Connect the brain to the mouth and voila! You have magic. Seriously, the brain is well stimulated under this transit, although for a few individuals this energy will be too intense and may make them feel like they've stuck a fork in the electrical outlet. Over Stimulation. But for most of us, this will be a great period to communicate in a number of different ways and means. So if you need to talk something through, now is the time. Talking, Singing, Signing, writing, scripting, story boarding, whatever you need to do to get the point across, just do it and watch how people respond. It will be amazing.

Don’t take up speed dating right now. If you have any sensitivity to either of these two planets now you will be highly susceptible to predators who will take your cash and jewels and emotionally roll you over like a dump truck. This may express itself in finance too. So, don’t promise anyone anything. Don’t give out your passwords, and don’t let someone know your love language because they will take advantage of you. You need to read a book or take a bath and not make eye contact with any of those good looking con people out there.

September 25 –October 1

Sept. 25 - New Moon in Libra

The Moon is New 2° Libra 49’ on September 25,2022, at 5:54 PM EDT.

This New Moon is tightly opposed Jupiter.

The New Moon in the sign of Libra starts a good cycle in which to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Scales.

It’s a time to work on re-balancing our relationships and to recognize our partners as teammates rather than adversaries. With this potent Libra energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives. Libra teaches us to learn to make peace with those around us and to establish more harmony in our environments, establish a sense of order and balance in our lives, and recognize the value of partnerships. This is an ideal time to work on these skills.

This New Moon brings fresh and creative energy into our lives, and more specifically, into our relationships. This is a cycle in which balancing our close personal relationships becomes an urgent desire. Negotiations may be especially effective, as we are inclined to assert our needs in ways that don’t offend others. Because this lunation is opposite Jupiter, we should be careful of exaggeration and excess. Shooting too high won’t help us achieve our goals sooner. A Mars-Saturn trine can help us see the value of pacing ourselves and keeping our feet on the ground.
